BaptismsJesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." |
Baptisms (sometimes called Christenings) celebrate new life. Because Baptism is about identifying yourself with God's mission as well as joining God's family, the church, baptisms take place during the 10.30 am Family Service at St Andrew's. If you are interested, why not:
* Come to a Family Service and speak to one of the clergy.
* Alternatively, contact the Church Office during weekdays.
* Read one of our leaflets about Baptism.
If you are interested, you will receive an invitation to a baptism preparation class. We will then decide on possible service dates and times.
As well as baptisms, we also perform services of blessing or dedication. A blessing service is where we publicly thank God for the birth of a baby and a dedication service is where a thanksgiving is given and the parents/godparents make vows to bring a child up in the ways of Jesus.

People have been baptised in All Saints' Church for over 800 years!
