Giving"And when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." |
Giving is part of church membership. It is a response to all that God has given us, and also a part of the reality of running an organisation that seeks to bless its members and the local community.
There are many ways to give. For instance, our church depends heavily on the voluntary support of many workers who enable running costs to be kept down. Time may well be the most precious thing that you can give. We are often in need of help, from cleaners through to gardeners.
Financially, there are many in the church who follow the biblical guide of tithing (giving one tenth of their income to charity, including our church).
For those wishing to give on a weekly basis, we have a system of gift envelopes. We can also arrange a Standing Order for those who wish to give directly, or at different time intervals. If you are a tax payer, the church can benefit by an extra 22% if you give using the Gift Aid scheme.
All giving is confidential, and is between you and God. Any amount, no matter how small, is appreciated. Jesus often taught about getting a right perspective on the use of our time and money. We hope that you will give prayerfully, cheerfully and generously - and to the glory of God.

Giving is a response to the One who gave all for us.
